“I see more and more women defying the cold, surfing icy waves in their 6mm wetsuits, gloves and boots. Yet, surf media still fails to reflect this reality. The biggest platforms in the industry continue to publish a staggering imbalance of men and women in their feeds and magazines.

Four years after the first issue of this magazine was launched, we - the creative, bold women of Nordic surfing, are still carving out space for ourselves:  We’re here to showcase a new generation of Scandinavian surfers redefining what surfing looks like in these frigid waters. My hope is that years from now, we’ll look back and recognize this as a pioneering time. A time when women made waves, took up space, and inspired others to learn, progress, and cheer each other on. We are out here surfing, creating, and connecting with our favorite element - water.

This is our world. Welcome to it. We’re glad to have you here.”
