(un) aware prints

(un)aware imprints - an exhibition to visualise the prints we as humans make. Aware on unaware ones. How they with time interact with nature and how we can see them as something beautiful as we are made aware of them.

In the first part of this project the visitor picks up one of the burned wooden sticks turned into coal and draw their line on a linen sheet tied up in between two trees in Kivik Art Centre. The visitors line co-creates an artwork together with the ones walking before them, and the ones coming after. Nature shapes the lines with its elements, and with time our prints will have merged to an artwork.

The second part of this project is about visualising the unaware prints we as humans make, just by walking this earth. A linen sheet nailed down in the ground by the exit of the art centre. The visitors footsteps will merge with other humans and become a part of nature with its dirt and leaves. Are you aware of your footsteps on this earth?

The project was exhibited at Kivik Art Centre in April 2021 in collaboration with Petra Lilja and Anette Vaering.
